We are now one month from the release of our first issue. As the release of the next issue depends on the volume of submissions we receive, we are currently uncertain as to when the second issue will be released. Submissions have slowed in the past month, which is only natural considering the Christmas season. We hope to release our next issue by Easter at the very latest.
So far feedback has been very positive, but also of a small quantity. I think we are simply having trouble reaching our intended audience, perhaps through lack of proper advertising. We greatly appreciate those who have made reference to our endeavor elsewhere on the internet, as every bit of good publicity helps. Please continue to spread the word, and share the first issue with your family and friends, especially if they are also writers.
Our appreciation goes out especially to Mr. Flanders at One Peter Five, who has been very enthusiastic and helpful since the beginning.
Also, thank you to the one donor we have had so far. Running a website of this quality is not extraordinarily expensive, but it is not free, and so we appreciate external support. We have a ways to go before this project will become in any way self-supporting, so even a small donation will help. The goal is to eventually get the journal off the internet and into hard copy, and to be able to reimburse our Authors and Editors, who are currently contributing their work and time for very little reward other than our gratitude. To help cover these projected expenses, and to maintain the website, we do still plan to move to a subscription format as soon as we are able to turn out issues with any semblance of regularity.
We welcome any and all feedback, and would greatly appreciate any publicity that you may give us.
Submissions are still very much open and welcome!
God Bless.
In Christ,
The Incarnation Staff.
